24Apr08:
PETE CASTLE entertained us with his stories and songs. A capacity crowd also enjoyed some super floor singers, including Bagatelle, Graham and Al Briggs.
27Mar08:
BARRON BRADY did the club proud. What a lovely couple who soon warmed to our audience.
Feedback:
"we
really enjoyed it and thought it exceptionally well run and organised, with high
quality floor singers and attentive audience.
I hope and expect your club will go from strength to strength. Thanks again-
hope to see you both again soon
28Feb08:
CLUB NIGHT, and what a night it was. A virtual FULL HOUSE and everyone was treated to a wealth of talent and variety. Plenty of songs to join in with and the added pleasure of a few Light Ploughman's Lunches at knock down prices.
Feedback:
"What a fantastic evening at the Club last night. We can't think how you manage to make each meeting that bit different, a good variety of performers, most enjoyable"
24Jan08:
TIM LAYCOCK was our guest for this month. And the night was a FULL HOUSE. Tim treated us all to a fantastic evening..such a talent. We hope he comes back soon.
And we had a good mix of supporting singers, including Jason Prosser- from "out of town"- he would be welcome at any time in the future.
Feedback:
"Bob.....it
was a real privilege to be there.....It was lovely to hear all of you singing
and playing, and to see a true artiste such as Tim (Laycock)- what a lucky
coincidence for me to see a son of Dorset on his home turf! I know you are a
little uncertain about the move from your previous premises, but from what I saw
and heard last night, you have no reason to be even the slightest bit concerned;
you have a well-attended, knowledgeable club, with good regular performers, a
firm but understanding hand on the tiller and very sound and committed
"back room" staff........Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing
you in the not-too-distant future."
